Walter R. Tucker, III, the son of former Compton Mayor Dr. Walter R. Tucker II, received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from U.S.C., and his Juris Doctor from Georgetown Law School. After practicing Criminal Law for several years, he succeeded his father as Mayor of Compton and then was elected to the U.S. Congress in 1993 – all by age 35. He currently pastors Truth and Love Christian Church in Carson, California.
